Exceptionally good art school that has a variety of art, music and dance programs. Our daughters are in the dance program and, as a non-profit organization, they put the students health and development as the number one goal. They do not do the commercial dance competition circuits but rather concentrate on their own year end shows. Lots of opportunities to observe the classes and teachers are very open to talking to the parents for advice and concerns they may have. Five stars is not enough to express our gratitude for enabling our children to thrive and excel in such a supportive environment.

Coming to Arts Umbrella has definitely been a turning point for my sister’s dance training. After 10 years in competition dance, our family was unsure whether or not my sister wanted to continue dancing in high school. However, the Arts Umbrella Dance Company has not only allowed my sister to rediscover her passion towards dance, but also consider pursuing dance as a career. Arty and the dance faculty know exactly how to challenge the dancers and also give them endless opportunities to grow as amazing dancers and people!

This is one of the best schools that offer an amazing dance program in Vancouver and the entire lower mainland. Excellent teachers that nurture the students in a non-competitive environment that focuses on proper basics and technique appropriate to the ages. Both of my daughters are in the dance program, the oldest is now in the Apprentice Company and dances over 20 hours a week and loves every moment. Kids have also taken some of the arts and theatre programs over the years and every experience has been positive and builds on their self-confidence. Bravo!

I've been buying my umbrellas that were made here at the Umbrellas Shop right by at the entrance to the Granville Island. Each design is beautiful and unique. Good quality. Worth it.

I attend the Arts Umbrella Grad Program and I would highly recommend the school. The education extends far beyond that of dancing and has helped me to find more about myself as a person, as well as such intense training. This school is very different than any dance school I have been to or heard of.
