I have been going to the ballet lounge since February and this is seriously my favourite place to be, I’m always looking forward to dancing here. I have been to several studios around Vancouver and BC and this is by far the most genuinely nice place. The other students attending the classes are encouraging and non-judgemental, often clapping encouragement to other dancers. All the “barre tenders” are lovely and talkative and the instructors are very clear and fun, they encourage everyone to go at their own pace and have fun, and I feel like they actully mean it. Overall, my experience has been 110% . there are not many studios who focus on adults and don’t just cater to parents and children, the Ballet lounge has been a refreshing experience and will make anyone fall in love with dance.

Wonderful place to take a drop-in dance class. So much fun. Very friendly staff and students. I have attended several different classes and enjoyed all of them. I have now been attending for 6 months and have notice a huge improvement in my dancing and overall fitness.

This is a wonderful dance studio! I came back to ballet after years of not dancing and am so glad I did. Suzy, the owner, is extremely warm and welcoming. I quickly went from taking one class to now being there multiple times per week. The classes are really fun, laid back, but also challenging. Great classes for beginners with zero experience to experienced dancers. I've taken their traditional ballet, ballet fit (this class is great!!!), jazz, and other fitness classes - they are all wonderful! I highly recommend trying this place out!!!

I took the Traditional Ballet level 1 class and left more confident and inspired!!! I've never done any ballet before in my life, but the pace of the class was slow enough for me to catch up to the other students who were a couple classes ahead of me, yet fast paced enough to challenge them and hone their skills. Christina is an amazing instructor! I learned not only techniques, but also some history of ballet! I've always admired and respected ballet dancers, but never felt like it was something I could do. I lacked the confidence, elegance, poise, body shape. This class changed my perspective! I can learn to have that elegance and poise. Ballet is a form of expression and is open to everyone, regardless of age or body shape! I had such a lovely and fun time! I was smiling the whole time, even though it was quite the workout! Stephanie was so kind and helpful too! At the end of class both Stephanie and Christina helped me take a few photos in gorgeous poses.
