Don't walk, RUN to the RWB. Seriously. Once upon a time, this school had a great reputation, but given current circumstances, it's hard to see how. Classes for the youngest dancers are taught by young students who are ill-equipped to interact with (much less manage) a group of children. They know absolutely nothing about child development, engaging children or maintaining their interest through what is a repetitive and stifling class routine. Don't let the piano in the (tiny) studio fool you, it is for appearances only. The studio owner has her hand in your pocket from the moment you sign up - registration fees, tuition, costume fees, tickets to the performance - get your wallet out and keep it out. You'd think for this price she could let you know when classes are cancelled, but that is not the case. You might also expect a decent facility, but again, you'd be incorrect. If you do sign your child up for classes, make sure to abstain from fluids for at least an hour prior to arrival - the single bathroom is located inside the studio, and is inaccessible to parents or siblings. Other studios are also expensive, but based on my experience, there is also a positive return on your investment (qualified instructors, respectful administrators, a positive and engaging learning experience). If Focus is your only choice, I recommend saving $700 and simply putting "let it go" on the stereo once a week while your child skips across the room. For real.
