I love taking dance lessons at this studio. The instructors and students make you feel like family. Along with the friendly atmosphere comes a wealth of knowledge and experience. I have been dancing here since 2005 and there are several more students who started shortly after me who are still here as well. The support I get from everyone encourages me to try things I never thought I could do both on the dance floor and off. No matter if you are looking to become a better social dancer, have a special danced choreographed or looking to compete, I highly recommend this studio.

Be ready to enter a world of magically fun! Fred Astaire Long Grove is a fantastic dance studio, with world class instructors and amazing staff. The studio is filled with the atmosphere of classic ballroom and spicy latin. My husband and I have taken lessons for a little over a year. We initially started thinking we'd take a handful of lessons for fun, then after a couple knew that we'd found a weekly date night activity! Beyond one on one instruction, we also love the group classes, letting us expand into other exercise, including ballet, jazz and the occasionally martial arts class. :) We quickly learned that dance is for all ages and an awesome workout - but one we barely feel. Whether you may be interested in just a couple classes, learning some moves for the next wedding reception, leaping into learning an open routine like the ones seen on "dancing with the stars" or training with national champions, this studio offers it all. Come experience the magic and be sure to say hi. :)

Prepare to be transported from the daily hustle and into a warm, welcoming oasis where you will learn the Hustle. And the foxtrot, waltz, rumba, salsa, swing, cha cha, tango, student's choice, all in the arms of one of the phenomenal professionals, your partner or a fellow student. The dance community at Long Grove Fred Astaire is joyful and infectious. My husband and I waltzed into the studio in October and have already learned 5 dances replete with turns, promenades, cuddles. No easy feat for a couple with 4 left feet. I'm addicted to the social aspects and having a guaranteed date night once per week and the shoes. My husband wanted to learn something new. We've found the benefits have surpassed our original motivations. As soon as the dancing shoes are donned, every worry, to-do-list, burden is chased away by the greetings and music and beautiful surroundings. The events and opportunities are too numerous to list here. Go to the website or call or do what we did and waltz in. You will want to dance the night away.
