Another great dance school in the heart of Toronto. Great teachers, nice studio, and very organized. I have to give a special mention to their dance prof. Jenifer; Anybody who can play Teddy Pendergrass’ “Turn out the Lights” during a beginner salsa class, ranks extremely high in cool factor as far as I’m concerned. Thanks Steps.

Business ignores my emails asking them for dance lessons Follow up emails are also ignored way to ignore and turn off prospective new clients. Sent an email waited 2 months no reply sent another one its been another month again no reply. A business who does not look to grow their business is doomed to fail.

Rude staff. Came to ask about classes and 2 staff members just completely ignored me. Waited a long time before another staff member came through the door and approached me. If this is how they treat new customers I can't imagine how they treat their students. Will spend my money elsewhere.

This is more a review of the studio itself than the actual business. I took a few classes at their old location and it was okay, but this new location is amazing. It's clean, three nice rooms, good floors and decent sound system. I've been to one of their socials and the instructor teaching was very friendly as were all the people. If I lived closer, I'd definitely take some classes here but for now, I'll just attend their monthly socials which are fun too.

Steps Dance Studio is a very professional and forward learning institute. Integrating both traditional and urban styles of dancing, Jennifer and the wonderful team of instructors: Jenna, Jason, Angelo, Ivan, Anastasia are always challenging their students in a friendly and encouraging environment. Steps constantly brings in World Salsa champions, like Anya Katsevman, Tito and Tamara and many others, providing many opportunities for technique enhancement and skills building. In addition, Steps provides a safe space for all its members; you can choose to lead, follow and further participate in role-neutral classes. With respect to comments on administration, the policy is clear. Many students go up a level without proper assessment, placing them and the instructors in unwanted positions. There are many instructors throughout the week with different styles and pace of dancing to suit all students' needs. If you feel you've mastered your level, ask for an assessment. If you feel group lessons are slow-paced for you, Steps offers private and semi-private classes for your convenience. From Taco Fest to Salsa on St. Clair, the Steps family will leave you craving for more. I started with a group-on deal and have been hooked since. Check it out yourself !
