I came in to Adept to get my nose pierced (the first piercing I've had since getting my ears done 15 years ago when I was 9!). There was a bit of a wait for Greg the piercing artist to arrive, and since piercings are first come, first serve, I hung out while two others ahead of me got theirs done. When it was my turn, Greg was super relaxed and very friendly. I told him about my needle phobia and he was very calming and funny and made me feel at ease. The piercing was not nearly as bad as I thought and he was very gentle getting it in! He gave me very simple aftercare instructions and sent me on my way. The entire process minus the wait time took less than 10 minutes and the price for the piercing and jewelry was very reasonable. The shop was very clean, all the equipment was sterile and disposable, and I felt very comfortable. Having gotten several tattoos I have been in some great shops and some questionable shops and Adept had a great environment. I will definitely be back if I get the urge to poke holes in myself again!

Greg helped me out after recieving an absolutely horrible piercing from another shop in Halifax, I could not be more grateful. He removed the barbell from my ear as gently as he could and was such a lovely person to help me, I was in extreme amounts of pain but he made the process as quick and painless as possible. It's very obvious that he truly cares about his quality of work and values his clients. The staff at Adept are friendly and extremely professional, and they really care about the quality of their work. Would reccomend going to Greg to anyone looking to get a piercing done.

Took our 7year old here to get her ears pierced. They were very professional and really great with her. I wasn’t certain we were going to get the second one done but he was able to gently convince her. I would happily take another child here. I think it is a lot safer and gentler than the piercing guns some places use.

If you like unsolicited advice and being talked down to. Go to this place. I stopped by to buy a replacement ball for a piercing. The piercer working at the time went out of his way to tell me I had the wrong gague without asking any questions as to why I had switched to that size in the first place. I felt talked down to and insulted. I understand there is a risk/reward in this, but I didn't come for expert advise, I just wanted a thing. Then they sold me the wrong piece. I didn't bother going back.

Incredibly talented, kind, generous staff! Very professional and clean! I was amazed by how courteous the people were! Don't listen to these 1-star idiots, especially Emily Kelly. If you treat the employees with respect, they'll treat you with respect! Cheers!
