We were so impressed by CCD this year. We came to the studio as a mature dance family who had a terrible experience with a dance studio in Stittsville. Our confidence in dance in the west end was shaken. We also knew changing studios when you are a teenager can be tough. CCD welcomed us, took the time to learn about us and recognized we were unsteady. From a curriculum perspective we did ballet and tap and were very impressed with Delrina and Gabe. New skills were learned, exams were taken and passed. The Kanata location has closed circuit TV which was a revelation for a nervous mother worried about her flock. The wifi is available to everyone (in our previous studio we had to beg the owner or her sons for the password, even as a parent trying to do some work in the lounge). Administration of things like registration and payments was easy and straightforward. We know that everyone has different experiences with dance studios. But we found the respect we were looking for at CCD. We highly recommend Capital City Dance to the recreational, RAD ballet or competitive dancer.

Oh god, this place is perfect! My daughter loves it, and she wants to take even more classes here. I'd recommend this place to anyone who's thinking of trying to start dancing.

I do not recommend this school for anyone looking for dancing classes for kids. We had the worst experience we could ever have by registering our daughter in this school. They are only interested in money. Classes always started delayed, we couldn’t see what our daughter was learning because the classes happened with doors closed. The teachers, most of them teenagers, doesn’t seem to care about the kids learning experience They assumed that your kid will participate of their recitals and they order stuff without even ask you are interested in participating of the event. We had people from school calling our home phone 10:30 pm to know if we would pay for the costumes they have had order. If you care about your kid learning experience and expectations about learning dancing, please look for another school.
