I wish I could give more stars. I found the environment extremely inclusive and welcoming and the teachers are very skilled and it’s clear they have a wealth of knowledge and experience. A great studio for both competitive and recreational dance. My daughter loves going there.

I would give 0 stars if I could, We had a very disappointing experience with this studio. They lack technical training, and the overall environment and approach to working with children is concerning There appears to be little to no effective behaviour management or individualized support.Children are often treated the same regardless of their needs, and rather than being guided and supported, they are sometimes blamed — particularly when it comes to decisions like solos or team placement. This creates an environment where kids can feel discouraged instead of motivated Communication is also a major issue.Emails frequently go unanswered, and when responses are received, they are often vague and do not address concerns clearly. As a parent, this makes it very difficult to feel informed or supported Most concerning is the overall feeling that the children are not the priority. It can come across as though they are expendable, rather than valued individuals who deserve encouragement, understanding, and care.It is also not an inclusive environment, and in this day and age, inclusion is so important It’s truly unfortunate, because the families and students themselves are wonderful. With stronger communication, better technical training, a more supportive, child\-focused approach, and a greater commitment to inclusion, this studio could be a much more positive place.

My granddaughter danced at this studio from the age of three. While she initially had a positive experience in recreational classes, things changed significantly once she joined the competitive team. We encountered ongoing challenges with staff who lacked behaviour management skills and effective communication. There was a clear expectation for children to be perfect and simply listen, without any effort to build meaningful connections. Children need understanding and support to thrive, but here it often felt like perfection was valued over connection. When concerns arose, our family repeatedly tried to seek answers, but we were met with little to no response. After dedicating years of time, effort, and financial commitment to PPDA, we expected far better communication and accountability. After leaving an honest review, we were quickly blocked from all of their social media platforms. This gave the impression that the studio is only interested in positive feedback rather than constructive criticism that could help them grow and improve. Communication overall is a major issue. The owner appears largely absent and disconnected from both parents and students. After four years at the studio, I doubt she would even recognize me. Since moving to a different studio, it has become very clear just how much was lacking. My granddaughter is now in a supportive environment where she was welcomed with open arms. At PPDA, she often felt judged and looked down upon, which deeply affected her confidence. It took her an entire year to feel comfortable enough to even consider dancing again. In my opinion, this studio fosters a toxic environment. If it operated in a more competitive or discerning community, I believe it would struggle to remain in business

I’m extremely disappointed with how my daughter was treated at this studio. While there may be a focus on technique, there is very little constructive feedback provided to help dancers actually grow and improve. There are also serious concerns around professionalism and decision-making. Certain situations involving individuals present at competitions made me uncomfortable, and I do not feel confident that the environment being created is always appropriate for children. It’s also clear that a large number of positive reviews come from friends and family, which doesn’t reflect the full experience of many families. At the end of the day, this is your business, and the way it is run matters. Children should feel supported, valued, and encouraged—not disposable. My daughter has been part of this studio since she was 3 years old, and unfortunately, we are leaving feeling let down by the overall experience.

I've had such a lovely experience at PPDA! The instructors are incredibly talented, supportive and genuinely care about each student. It is such a positive atmosphere and definitely a place that I would highly recommend!
