Made to feel extremely unwelcome and like I'm an idiot for having a disability!!!! I'm newly hard of hearing mainly in one ear and I came early to privately talk to the "professional" instructor about this before we started the class to make sure I wasn't missing anything. She came about 10 minutes late so I didn't get to do it. Instead I asked during the class if I could stay on the side where I could hear her and she just told me that I should just try to follow along better? Then I mentioned I was hard of hearing and she said that she had taught completely deaf people in her studio and that they didn't have my problem. I stayed till the end but I was welled up with tears the entire time. I'm sure the other girls in the class noticed but I think they were too scared to stand up to the teacher. One of the girls came up to me after outside and told me that it wasn't the first time she had seen that instructor lash out when someone asked for an accommodation. I won't be going back, I feel so hurt and picked on. It's like high school bullying all over again! Grow up!!!!

I would have liked to publicly use my name but I am actually scared of Red (the instructor and owner) as she was very volatile and cruel and I truly never want to be on her bad side which seems like a very easy thing to do and I really do not want problems for myself or my family because of her so it is just a precaution to those who are thinking about joining that it's a destructive atmosphere. I see that I am not the only one who had a poor experience here according to other reviws but I am surprised not as many people mentioned what I am talking about. I feel shame that I let this person who I paid money to hurt me and scare me to this point.Be careful.

I had a private class with Red Herring, and it was wonderful! I went in wanting to know how to work with fans and boas in depth. She showed me probably a dozen different things to do with each, and we talked a lot about posing, which is an important part of burlesque. It’s obvious that she really knows what she’s talking about and has the moves to prove it! I highly recommend her as an instructor. I would gladly go back again.

I wish I'd read some reviews before buying my groupon. What a waste of $60. My friend and I attended one class and planned to do the Sexy Salsa class. The class kept getting cancelled and when we asked when it would resume, we didn't get any response. Finally, I emailed the owner and even sent a Facebook message asking to let us know if there would be any evening classes after 7pm. No response. I have since asked for a refund and still have not heard back. If you want to go to a studio that values their customers, this doesn't seem to be the place. Find a studio that might actually want (or at least pretend to want) your business.

Such a waste of time and money! I wish I could give zero stars! I came here thinking I would walk away having learned something. Beyond the absolute basics I was taught nothing! Might I add that all of those basics you could learn from a wiki-how "how to do a burlesque act" Also the joint was filthy. McDonalds burger wrappers and subsequent greasy hand and finger marks all over the walls. I actually brought a napkin to open the doors with after the second time I went just so I didn't have to touch some of the handles upstairs. The third time I went was the last time. save your money and thank me later.
