We found this studio when we moved to Markham in 2007. I was looking for a dance school that would teach you to love and appreciate Dance that would remain with you even into adulthood. This studio does just that. The staff are a family of dancers who love dance and foster that love in the hearts of all their students. The focus is on artistry and personal development not on winning competitions as is the focus of most dance studios today. The emphasis is on the joy and satisfaction of dance. From age 2 up to 72, dancers enjoy the time at the studio, building warm relationships and lasting friendships. Truly a place where "every body can dance".

I love this studio, I've been going here since I was 9 years old in their summer camps. The owner is a great lady, always making sure her students are enjoying themselves. The studio motto is "every 'body' can dance!" which is a great way to encourage everyone to get active and feel confident. The other teachers are great at making sure their students understand the dance moves but most importantly are also having fun. I would recommend this studio to anyone who asks.

My 8 year old daughter has been going to Markham School of Dance for 3 years now. I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoys her classes and has made quite a few new friends while going as well! The recitals are always lively and colourful and they put on a great show. I would recommend this school to anyone :)

My daughter has been dancing here since she was 4. It's been 7 years with the school. We decided to continue dancing at this school due to the friendliness of all the teachers, students and parents. My daughter was very shy at first but the teachers are very patient and positive. Now she enjoys all the classes and this is like a second home to her.

They we're really nice when we first started, especially the teacher. We had paid for the recital but due to a death, were unable to attend sessions in the weeks after semester 2 started. We had asked for a refund for the recital that we paid (just 2 weeks after paying) and we were told no refunds. I just received an email from them to all the parents saying recital date has changed sorry for the inconvenience . I find it appalling that it's okay for the date to have changed and the students are automatically expected to adjust to the date and time but vice versa they cant be accommodating to us. End of the day, I felt like it was just a money grab and no compassion even for a death. Will definitely not be coming back even though the teacher was great.
