We are second generation students at Anita's Dance Center. My sister was a student from 1994 - 2006. I have two daughters that began dancing in 2010 & 2013. Anita and her staff are awesome and very professional. Dance is a very expensive hobby and the prices at Anita's are very reasonable. The studio is very spacious, clean and well decorated. Recitals are very professionally done and every year there are many opportunities to perform including the Nutcracker, Friends & Family Show, Charity Show, as well as the regular recitals, parades and sporting events. Anita's also has a world class competition team that competes around the country that both my daughters are members. If you have a child that wants to dance...Anita's Dance Center is the place to go. We love it!!

After going on 13 and a half years of my daughters dancing at Anita’s, we know without a doubt that there is no better choice in dance studios we could have ever made. Anita, the teachers, and all the students there have become like a second family. Our whole family could not be happier with this safe, wholesome, friendly dance environment. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the teaching is amazing. My daughters have become very talented dancers thanks to Anita’s Dance Center. It’s their home away from home, and one of their most favorite places to be.

Our daughter has been dancing here for 5 years and absolutely loves it. Her teachers are amazing and Ms. Anita is simply the best.

My daughter is 11. She did auditions last year and got a summer letter saying she would move up to teen company from Junior company. She was so excited, this meant the world to her. Given her quick progression (one year in junior) and her age (typically one year early), we called to confirm the letter was correct. Miss Anita herself confirmed that teen company was correct, despite age and experience. We hyped up teen company all summer and September - as Miss Anita said she was in the correct place. We got a voicemail right before Oct, saying to call and it was “nothing bad” about our child. We had it on speaker and our daughter present given the voicemail tone. Miss Anita told us our child would need to go back to Junior company. Our daughter started balling right on the spot. She was devastated. We were offered monetary compensation for the mistake but were told she was too young and “not good enough”. She didn’t stop or ask to speak to our child at all, despite loud crying in the background. She says in all her meetings she is all about helping kids confidence, not true. The solution here was obvious to us - she should have talked to our daughter kindly, restored some confidence. Instead, when we called back, she reiterated “she’s too young and not good enough” and hung up on us. All she needed to do was talk to our child, instead of ignore a main reason we were at dance - confidence building. A very sad and abrupt ending to multiple years of dance at this facility. Our child will miss her teachers, especially Miss Amanda and Stephanie. Sadly this same thing happened at our first experience there too, our child was place in company with no dance experience and we didn’t know dance at the time, or that this was wrong. It was very emotional for our child when she was told she didn’t have the experience, but Anita handled it better 3 years ago so we stayed. 3 years made a difference as this was cold and cruel.
