My older daughter has danced at LaFave for the past twelve years, and my younger daughter has been dancing there for five. Both of them love their classes, and in particular, the approach to teaching that Ms. Stacey takes. She is very supportive and kind, respecting all levels of ability, while giving the dancers a strong foundation in the basics. She also makes sure they have fun in class! The end-of-year recital is always a highlight and really shows how the kids have progressed over the year. The atmosphere is not competitive or high-pressure; there is flexibility and support for whatever level of interest the student has - though there are competition teams and advanced classes, including Cecchetti certification, for those who are interested. I highly recommend LaFave!!

I have been dancing at LaFave Danse for 8 years. My experience has been wonderful. Ms. Stacey has always been such a kind, warmhearted person and she makes everyone feel like they are part of something much greater. I always feel like she has my back and she makes me excited and proud of myself even when I'm feeling down. The other dancers are very friendly and we all get along, like one great, big happy dance family :)

I have danced at LaFave Danse for over 10 years now, and I have had a wonderful experience every year. Ms. Stacey's method of teaching has encouraged me to continue dancing and to push myself to not only become a better dancer, but learn more about what I love doing. From weekly classes to the recital at the end of the year, I always look forward to dancing here, and coming back year after year. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a fun, supportive environment come to LaFave!

I have had two daughters dance at LaFave for over ten years each. Ms. Stacey has been great with the girls and always very accommodating of their increasingly busy schedules. I would recommend LaFave to anyone looking for a dance studio, from beginners to more advanced.

I went to LaFave Danse for 12 years and could not have asked for a better experience. The teacher, Ms. Stacey, always created a warm environment in which we could express ourselves creatively while improving on technique. Many studios make students join intense competition teams when they reach a certain age, but LaFave allows students to choose whether or not they want the competition experience. Ms. Stacey works with and knows every student personally, and is able to help them grow year by year into more accomplished dancers. I always looked forward to the days I would spend at LaFave and highly recommend it to anyone in the Grosse Pointe area, male or female, who wants to dance in a supportive, close-knit community.
