I used to go to this disgusting place and the people here were so unbelievably rude it's crazy. They would yell at us and they didn't really care about the kids. They were just a hole bunch of teenagers caring about what they looked like .

Amazing service, awesome classmates and great vibes. Although the costumes are expensive, they are working on it, but tutus cost a lot so those who are complaining...

It was a waste of our time and money on this place. I regret sending my daughter to this dance place. My daughter did not learn any dance here because there was no structure or syllabus. And don't get me started on the rudeness of the owner/ staff there. She is obnoxious and yells at the kids. Find a nice dance studio in the neighborhood.

Though I was dancing for dance Kids Canada for many years I believe that it was a good thing that I changed my studio, but that doesn't mean they are a "bad" studio but because at the time of when I left,I felt the studio hadn't reached it's full potential and that the dance classes had gotten less about challenging me as a dancer and were more about making me a person to work there as a teacher which I wasn't at the time and with the experience I had at the time with my particular style of dance wasn't capable of being either. So this review is purely based on my dancer opinion and my reasoning from when I left in 2013, and I hope that the studio has excelled astronomically and is doing much better than before.

This is a different kind of dance school. It is not a competition dance school and it is not a soley "recreational dance school". It is a blend of the two. Some of the schools we have been to in the past would hold there recitals at a community centre or high school. Dance Kids does it right - at nice theatres with awesome costumes, but there is a cost that goes with that, and you can opt out if you like. It is only once a year and it is special. They also include a professional DVD set of the entire show and a full photo week at no additional cost. At the same time they do not drill kids like this is a life choice, the classes are age appropriate and progressive. The classes are not "drop in" style Parks and Recreation type of classes - this is an affordable private dance studio. In addition to dance classes they run great dance camps on PA Days, Christmas Holiday, March Break and Summer. They are a life saver because they are drop in pay as you go. They also run an affordable after school club program, where they pick the children up from school, bring them back to the studio and offer a fun program, till the parents come for them at 6 pm. My daughter has been at DKC for a number years, this studio is a wonderful affordable private school for East York.
