From the moment I took a workshop with Carmen, I knew that I wanted to study the art of flamenco under her should I have the chance. Learning with Carmen remains a wonderful and fulfilling journey for me. Not only does she teach choreography but she also focuses on music theory and rhythmic elements, which I feel are key in understanding the true essence of flamenco. Each class is packed with her creative energy and her passion for the art of flamenco. What I love about her teaching style is that she is patient, fearless, and energetic!

There is no other Toronto teacher, artistic director, choreographer or Flamenco performer like Carmen Romero. Her unique approach to all things Flamenco is what brought me in the door. Every one knows that when you enter the studios of Carmen Romero, it is a warm, inviting, atmosphere but when Carmen dances she is a fierce, passionate, force to be reckoned with. From beginners to professionals, all are welcome at the studios of Carmen Romero. And it's not just dance that she teaches, you learn how to express yourself and be yourself through Flamenco. I came in as a beginner, with no prior knowledge of the dance form and with many physical issues to work through and 6 years later I am addicted to all things Flamenco with no more physical issues. I recommend Carmen and her studio to every one from all walks of life. If you get a chance to see her or her company perform, take it, you will not regret it.
