Every trip to PEI we visit the Dunes, but this was my first time eating in the cafe. It did not disappoint. I was with two women who are Celiac and there were at least 6 main dishes on the menu that were Gluten-Free. The drinks and cocktails were unique and delicious. I had the lobster quiche and it was one of the best quiche I have ever had in a restaurant...the crispy crust really stood out. We also had the Date Sticky pudding....melt in your mouth delicious. We had to wait over half an hour for a table when we arrived at 1:30pm so plan ahead! It was well worth the wait.

We had the mussels, lamb burger and salmon salad. The portions are manageable, the side salad had a wonderful maple vinaigrette. The mussel broth was good even as a soup! This is my second time there and I love the place and their food. Their shop also has beautiful driftwood furniture, artwork and batik style ladies dresses and accessories. Get ready to spend-- not cheap but certainly quality items.

This review is only about not being informed about the gallery’s return policy. I called and ordered 2 ikebana pottery flower arrangers, to be picked up by friends in the area as I don’t live in P.E.I. A few days before they were picked up, someone gave me the same arranger for my birthday. I called and asked if I could return one of them, as the items hadn’t even left the store. I was told that it wasn’t possible and could do a store credit. This has been quite disappointing. There was a fine line crossed as I was never told that when I purchased the items over the phone that there was a no refund policy and that the arrangers hadn’t even left their office. Not a fair call on the managers part. I had such fond memories when I went to the Dunes several years ago, and now it’s left a bitter taste.

Outstanding! When I drove up to this place I really didn't expect what I saw. The gardens are beautiful the food was amazing and the service was right up there too. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back if I'm in PEI again.

Beautiful art gallery, garden, and cafe. Try the seafood linguine! It's outstanding! Tried the chicken today! Fantastic! Truly unique to the region and a must stop when visiting PEI. By the way, the plate on the photo was made by the owner /potter.
