The best music. Best floor. Great dancers. Lovely people.

Swing dancing is the best of hobbies! You get all the benefits of adding more exercise in your life. You get to discover new and exciting ways of expressing yourself through movement. You meet new people and make new friends. You learn about Jazz music and the historical context in which it developed. Last but not least, there are swing dancing communities all over the world: wherever you go, you will have an instant connection to locals who share the same passion for swing dancing, be it Philadelphia, Seoul or Barcelona ! On top of that Cat’s corner is a beautiful and inviting space – wooden floors and brick walls, right on St-Laurent Boulevard, in the heart of the city. Come to one of their Friday night dances, take the free intro class and see for yourself –I bet you’ll be hooked instantly, just like I was ...

I took swing lessons there and had a great time. What we learned was challenging enough and the ambiance was good for learning. I was an absolute beginner and not very talented and I had a really hard time following at first. I would recommend this school but it's probably more suited for people who already know some of the basics or different kinds of dances.

I have been attending the Friday Night Stomp for a couple of years now. Friday Night Stomp is a remarkable experience where everyone is welcome and accomplished dancers and novice dancers are able to dance together in a criticism free atmosphere. I have also been attending lessons at Cat's for a few years, and have attended most of the classes at least twice - always managing to learn something new. The teachers are fabulous and the environment is a true learning environment. Finally Cat's Corner is a great community of people that enjoy Lindy Hop, Charleston, Blues and Shag, as well as the music that goes along with it. If you are thinking about taking a class, go for it! You will have a blast.
