I just finished the special introductory classes and I was pleased with the one on one lesson that they offer. I loved how the staff were so nice and made you feel welcomed. My experience dancing felt as if I were in a different world. It was such a great feeling and it made me feel happy to just forget about everything. I look forward to proceed and advance my skills of dancing. I’m so very excited and happy I found this place to learn.

My husband and I started taking dance lessons at Manhasset Fred Astaire before our daughter’s wedding, just so we could do more than sway back and forth on the dance floor. Well, the wedding has come and gone and we’re still here! Little did I know that this would ignite a passion that has become a major part of my life! I have learned so many styles of dance that I never even knew existed. During the day, I temporarily escape my stressful challenges by mentally rehearsing my rumba routine! The teachers here really make the difference. They are exceptional prize-winning professionals, as you will notice from the walls teeming with trophies. The owners, Marisa and Eugene, along with all the instructors, Bryan, Ayako and Eugene B., genuinely care about us and do their all to make dancing so much fun. You cannot walk in without your mood immediately lifting and you can’t walk out without a huge smile on your face. The atmosphere of the studio is warm, friendly and energetic, and it has become an avenue for us to meet new and exciting people. I have better posture and balance and more energy and flexibility. And I have lost weight! There is no medicine available that can give you all these benefits. And no side effects!

I first heard of Fred Astaire Manhasset four years ago through my niece, who had been studying there for four years previous to that. She enjoyed it so much and I had always wanted to study ballroom. I've studied other dance forms previous to ballroom, but once I started with Manhasset Fred Astaire I never looked back! I have made so many friends here that it is more than a dance class. The positive atmosphere and high energy of the studio and teachers, keeps pulling me back every week!

Martha Graham once said; “Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.” As soon as you walk into the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Manhasset, the instructors’ love of dance is not only infectious, but they are also driven and enthusiastic to pass this joy on to each of their students. The four instructors are all individuals in their own rite, but by coming together they create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Eugene’s cheerful wit combined with Marisa’s classic elegance, Alex’s patience for perfection and Tara’s sweet zest for life make each lesson utterly enjoyable and a pleasant way to end your evening. A little over a year ago I started taking dance lessons at this studio to fulfill a desire to explore my creative soul. Dancing not only enabled me to live my truth and express my feelings, but helped me further embrace life’s blessings. This studio is truly a special place and I highly recommend pursuing lessons here. It is a place where you’ll not only learn the technique of dance well, but your life will be enriched by being exposed to the art of dance.

This is the first experience I have with this type of dance, but the staff was very friendly and informative that is to know. The atmosphere gave me the desire to come again. So if you want to learn paso double or any other ballroom this is the best place for you.
