Fair warning don't go to the bank to get money to buy things from them. Will never recommend anyone go there. Here is my wife's rant. So I have never felt the need to do this before, but today I experienced the WORST customer service I have ever had and I guess this is how we combat that now through social media! My son wanted to make a large purchase for which he had been working hard and saving for from Copper Island Dive Ltd. Because he has a student account he has to go in to the bank to withdraw large amounts. Lucky us, we could park at Copper Island (signage says for Copper Island Customers Only. Perfect, that means us!) and walk to our bank! We come out from the bank to find that the owner has parked his large truck covered in his stores advertising right behind my vehicle assuming I was jacking his business's parking spot so I could go to the bank. This is totally fine, I suspect this must happen to his business alot. I am fine with my vehicle being blocked until we enter the store and let the cocky young man covered in tribal tattoos know that we are actually customers. He proceeds to basically tell us that he doesn't give a S**T and that is what his boss does all the time. I tell him that he just lost our business because that is not the way to treat customers especially in a small town. I say what we were coming in there to purchase and he say " well we don't carry that brand anyways, so go to Little City Boat World instead!" "we don't care if we loose your business!" At this point I really can't believe that I am hearing this from a sales person in a Salmon Arm business. I have heard time and time again about how we are supposed to support local and be hometown proud, but why the hell would I if that is the kind of customer service I would get! After a couple of minutes the owner returns to his truck and I calmly tell him also that we were going to be customers but now he lost us over the fact that he was so overly concerned with non customers parking in his parking spot and how we were treated. This man was just as ignorant and arrogant as his cocky young employee inside and just didn't give a S**T either whether he kept us as customers or not! If this is one of the business that is representing our community in the summer time to all of our tourists, then I am truly embarrassed! I really hope they get better service than the locals do. Btw his parking lot & store was completely empty, and now I understand why! They lost not only my business, but my family and friends business too! Be sure that I will tell everyone I know now. Feel free to share... Rant over!
