My wife came to Dr. Huang months ago trying to find support for what we know as night terrors. At first, we were so happy "look a Dr. that listens" and at first this was the story. Fast forward 9 months and she is still suffering, and things are getting worse. When we asked the Doctor about concerns, we were meet with defensive behavior telling us we are undermining his job. I would like to point out I was at each consultation. Time and time again he brought up her weight like it was going to be the holy grail of answers - just run a little more. We took steps to change our lifestyle. We not longer eat processed foods, I cook all our meals and we get the dogs out at least once a day. Well today was the last straw. After forcing me out of the room on prior visit so he could bully and push my wife into having an anxiety attack, he sent her home with medication that had previously been eliminated due to complications. Why? Well, the pharmacist said it's likely because said medication is the go-to for "crazy patients". Jump forward to today where an amazing med student goes out of her way to assess my wife's condition. On the other side of the door we can here her trying to explain and a rough condescending tone. I do not know what he was saying to the med student, however as soon as he enters the room, the feeling changed. His first reaction was to blame everything she had just discussed on allergies to the family dog... Completely invalidating the concerns we came in with. By the end of the visit he says, "there is a 900-pound elephant in the room" and again chalks everything up to her being overweight. If he's done tests, he should be able to clearly and concisely tell us what IS or IS NOT going wrong. Instead, everything is about her weight. Silly thing is my wife is 6'1 and built like a warrior woman. The fact he calls her overweight and this is the main root of all her sufferings is misogynistic and wrong. He also ended the visit with a refusal to provide critical medication and advised he would no longer treat her. Please, don’t take your wives, daughters or female friends to this man.
