I started this journey at the perfect time. A time for change. I had been attending regular classes at the gym and enjoyed being active but slowly over the last year, I had been gradually putting on more body fat. I was eating lots of healthy food BUT I was also enjoying lots of food high in sugar and fats. I think I was convinced that my workouts allowed me to do this. I was working my butt off in the gym and was proud of how strong I felt but I was hiding it all under a layer of fat! For me this program was about completing the pillars for fitness success. My workouts were not successful on their own without understanding how I needed to change my nutrition. I had a body that inside felt strong and healthy, but on the outside it was coated in a thick layer of nutritional excess. I'm like a piece of broccoli coated in chocolate! I want to melt the chocolate layer away to reveal what's underneath! As I removed processed sugar from my diet, I was shocked at how I initially felt so unwell! Surely healthy eating should feel good? The transition did not feel good! I went through many different stages: tired, emotional, dazed, weak, hungry, cravings, grouchy, out of breath, heavy legs, muscle cramps, extreme thirst, low energy and head aches for 3 weeks! It was tough and I needed reassurance that these symptoms would ease! Gradually I noticed that I was beginning to gain back my energy and I could feel that my body had switched over to burning fat! I could actually feel the texture of my skin and fat going through different stages of breaking down. Everyone around me was asking what I was doing to get into shape? I was already in shape but no one could see my muscles underneath the fat before! I lost over 20lbs and it feels amazing! I'm only 44 years old and I intend to stay this strong for the next 44! Your as active as you live!

I have lived most of my life as a fit and health conscious person. Then I had 2 kids, they became my world and over the last 14 years I have devoted my life, time and energy to my family, neglecting to take care of myself. Slowly, I have put on 40 excess pounds, I have become inactive and began feeling depressed about how I looked and felt. I turned 50 last year and that was my mental push to change my life to a healthier version of me. I tried different things and was always motivated in the beginning, but it wasn't enough to fulfill all my needs. One day I was at hockey, I was talking to another hockey mom and she said I should try Local Motion Fitness. I'm an introvert and the thought of going to a new club, new people, exercising with experienced fitness people, scared the 'you know what' out of me! My friend said she would come with me and I put on a brave face and dove in. Jason and Erin have been nothing but welcoming, supportive, informative and encouraging! The exercise classes are fun and challening, great music and even a delicious nutrition plan. My life and body are changing in ways I have only dreamed about! I have made new friends, have never felt so much support and I feel like I can do anything! Thank you Local Motion Fitness for helping me change my life to be a better version of me for me and my family! Carrie C.

I started a membership at local motion fitness around February and I was going to a lot of classes because I wanted to try and help myself loose weight before summer. But my problem wasn’t the working out my problem was my eating habits I never realized how many carbs is in everything and that was my problem. Bread was my enemy! But then in March Jason was promoting the platinum transformation challenge and I thought to my self why not go and check it out and am I ever happy that I did . Over the whole experience I can’t say it was every easy but did I ever feel better just after the first week of following a food plan because I never knew anything about dieting before . My plate never use to have vegetables it was always pasta etc. Until now I also couldn’t of done it without all my fellow “transformers” and the support from Erin and Jason and the guidance I’ve had. I actually enjoy going out because I’m not worried about how I look in my outfit I feel so much better about myself and instead of craving chocolate after work I crave LMFAO. It has been a great experience and I can’t wait for more :)

I started the platinum transformation group at local motion fitness because I had to change one thing about my eating habits. That one thing turned out to be everything! My cupboards full of carbs had to go!! Starting my day with a can of Coca Cola and drinking upwards of 6 cans a day; over! My plates that never before had vegetables suddenly needed greens and I felt lost and overwhelmed. But I was not alone I had a team of sisters to share their support and meal ideas was huge. And guidance from Erin and Jason willing to teach me, answer all my questions, motivate me, play hard work hard from Jason that clicked and had me pushing to lift that weight one more time. A treat no longer means something I grab from the cookie jar a treat is something wonderful from Erin to get me moving in class in ways I never dreamed. And speaking of movement I don’t feel like I waddle when I walk anymore and moves in exercise class that we’re so hard to complete in week one, 25lbs lighter I can do them all! And I’m excited to continue down this path to get me out of the body fat red zone and craving exercise not ice cream no more Big big thank you to LMFAO.

I responded to the Facebook post for LMFAO looking for some answers. I showed up to the first meeting in March 2019 overweight and with severely limited mobility...I had been struggling with sciatica since December 2018 and it was only getting worse. I had no idea how I was going to be able to participate since I was having so much trouble moving around, but I knew it was something I had to immerse myself in if I wanted a meaningful change. Jason and Erin assured me that they would show me modifications, work with my physiotherapist and be mindful of my limitations until I healed. I put my trust in them and I have been nothing but thankful for their guidance every day since then❤. While I started with the intention of losing weight (14.5 pounds down and counting!), this journey has become more about what I have gained: mobility, the support of our talented trainers and fellow transformers and a renewed faith in myself that I have control over how I feel in my body physically, emotionally and mentally. I am excited to set new goals: how fast can I RUN? How much weight can I LIFT? Who can I inspire as I have been inspired? The good news is LMFAO has given me the tools and support to go ahead and find out😊
