Really good location and machines. Could be cleaner though. The bathrooms are always soaking wet because people don’t dry themselves in the shower (did your parents not teach you this?) and the new addition with carpet smells like feet because I assume it just captures all the sweat from everyone. Hope they shampoo it regularly. They advertise free wifi but block the port for apps like Spotify so you have to use data. Another thing is the size. It’s small, but not necessarily cramped. However I’ve frequently seen 3-4 employees doing workouts during peak hours. I don’t get that, it’s small enough as it is, why are the employees contributing to the congestion? If they can fix these somewhat simple issues I’m sure the reviews will improve.

The male trainer at the gym is not professional at all and very rude. Not very great at making customers feel welcome or comfortable using the services. If the location was not close to my place, I would never use it. It’s a pity because Anytime fitness it great and I had great service - friendly and helpful from the Rideau location. Too bad the standard is not followed everywhere else.

Definitely the worst Anytime location in Ottawa. It is rarely clean, there is no TRX, no lockers, it is poorly laid out, and is overall poorly maintained.

Prior to today I would have given 5 stars- even though the bathrooms were not clean, the staff I encountered were very accommodating and nice to me and I can't hold the gym accountable for it's members messiness. I did meet the owner today and not what I've come to expect from a COMMUNITY gym nor Anytime owners- when she denied a legitimate membership I obtained from a different Anytime location. Perhaps this gym is struggling financially, however, this treatment is not what community represents- nor is it a recommendation I will give to my employer that is seeking to sign-on with a new gym for a corporate membership. I feel bad for the staff there- they were always very nice, and an EXEMPLARY model of community. My apologies to them, I give them more stars! Back to Good-Life it is. Or a different Anytime location, because after-all, they are all independent, right :)
