Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff and management. Update: reading other reviews now, I see a trend of people not getting calls back from the manager, and being swindled into binding contracts with false promises of getting out or transferring. My wife's and my experience the one time I interacted with staff/management: >>Missed meeting, no notice/call given when we were driving from out of town on a Friday evening. >>Untrained staff, or otherwise outright lying to us regarding member info. This is the run-around my wife and I were given when we ultimately decided to cancel* our memberships. (*reason unrelated to this, as we didn't have really any interaction with staff/management since the time of signing up) As we are from out of town (joined the gym with local friends), we first called to cancel our membership. We were instructed it requires a meeting with the manager. Unfortunate that a simple thing couldn't be handled remotely, however we agreed and booked an appointment with the manager. When we eventually arrived in town for the meeting, NO MANAGER. The manager had "taken the afternoon off sick" - a lucky occurrence for him on a sunny Friday.... NO CALL from the manager. NO CALL from staff. Both my wife and my cell numbers are on file - they are what you use to log in at the gym! So much for our Friday evening. In a turn of events, the staffer revealed that the paper work only required a signature, and busted out the papers in a minute. Unsure why (retention swindling?) a meeting with the manager was required at all. The ONE PIECE OF GOOD NEWS - the staffer said - "luckily, since you've been with us for over 1 year, you DON'T HAVE TO PAY THE 60 DAY FEE" - something a friend warned us about when cancelling (something to dissuade people from gym hopping in 1 year loyalty! When asking why we never received a call from the manager, my wife was told there was no note passed along to the manager. Hardly an acceptable answer as the manager missed the meeting in the first place with no regret or apology issued, and had no common courtesy to follow up with us. We tried to be courteous users of the gym, and acted with professional courtesy when it came to cancelling our membership of >1year. I expect at minimum, to be treated with equal respect from the staff/management of any establishment. That's my warning to all. PS. Compare prices at Planet Fitness in Bowmanville - I'm told it's much more competitive. PPS. Forgot about the UNCOMFORTABLE post intro-workout meeting with the personal trainer - where the push HARD on selling you personal trainer sessions - something I never wanted, nor bought - but was made to feel really bad/guilty/uncomfortable having it pushed on me (my wife had the same experienced and caved under the pressure - after which we had to go back together to cancel them)

I have been going to this gym for years and I absolutely love it. My #1 reason for staying at this gym is Sheena. I thoroughly enjoy all of her classes, she has a great attitude and is extremely motivating. Having a women’s only area is also great! Along with the affordable rates. :)

Please keep the gym clean. The doors are grimy the glass is filthy and the staff are clueless. No one seems to be able to answer basic questions. There is mold in the ladies room and washrooms. The cleaning cloths are often smelly and not changed as often as they should. This gym to be a wonderful place to workout and relax, the standards are not there snymore. Pls clean up!!! Where are the managers?!?!? Very dissatisfied lately. The evening staff seem more interesting in socializing with each other. Past staff did a great job of cleaning and maintenance of the gym. Also, the roof leaks after it rains, the equipment gets wet and the staff there did noting abt it. I had to report it to the manager.

Place is a mess. The men’s change room never gets cleaned properly. Urinals are always stained and yellow. Toilets out of service/plugged or just litter everywhere. I’ve been coming to this gym since 2008 and it’s at the biggest low it’s ever been at. Mould tends to grow constantly from poor ventilation (showers and hallway). Steam room has been broken down 2/3 times a year from poor maintenance or improper installation. On the plus side, new treadmills.

I personally love this gym! Atmosphere is wonderful and the receptionists are always greeting me when I walk in& leave. Lots of options for machines and they are perfectly spaced from each other not to close but not to far! Wouldn’t change to any other gym after being here!
