All the positive reviewers are of those that haven’t attempted to cancel their membership. I worked out daily for 2 years. They NEVER updated the equipment or fixed broken windows. Good luck canceling your account. After several failed attempts over the phone. I had to physically go to the gym. The local manager doesn’t have the authority to cancel your account. They had to call the “district manager” who I could over hear over the phone saying he wouldn’t cancel the account unless I went there in person. I had to threaten legal action in order to cancel. They charged me for 6 more months after canceling. I only found out after the bank calling to say anytime fitness was charging an expired card.

This place will rip you off! They will “cancel” your account then keep charging you. Then try to say they give no refunds and avoid trying to actually help you get your money back. This place is just a shake down for your money. Go to planet fitness, they let you have guests and they have more Amenities then anytime. Plus they won’t rip you off and it’s cheaper.

Signed up for 1 year, got home to find that the papers had been falsified to read 3 years. The Manager Ryan is no longer available to dispute this. He is now in prison for car theft and some sort of fraud. Daycare next door was a condition of membership. A murder occurred at the childcare. After that terms and price of childcare changed. Cancelled 3 months ago, many calls to the gym later, it is being disputed in collections. Several attempts to resolve result in a promise of a call from a District Manager who never calls. Gym is ran to shake down clients through collections.

Biggest issue with this location is how dirty it is. The bathrooms are not kept up with. My hands always get a dirty build up working out here that I've never gotten anywhere else Richmond and New Baltimore far more clean. It doesn't have much equipment compared to other nearby locations as well. If you live near Richmond or New Baltimore location I'd recommend going there it's worth the drive.

Edited: tried to cancel and Tony the manager messed up and now I'm trying to get my money back. This place is ran so poorly. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! There needs to be more equipment in this facility. I wish they were in a bigger location as well. Workouts are hard sometimes because there is only one weight machine and you have to wait to use it. The space is cluttered and messy.
