The YMCA in Cambridge is pretty cool. It’s kinda small though and feels like there isn’t much to do but that’s probably just if you aren’t involved in any programs like me so you’ll only really get your moneys worth if you join activities and programs. The Change rooms are REALLY COLD I have no idea why. The gym has some outdated equipment (Treadmill for example) its so old they still have the old iPod chargers! But treadmills are expensive so its not really something to complain about. Food at the cafeteria is ok, they have really nice cookies and banana bread but like everything else is just as if your mom made it for you and thats ok because it still taste good and the people at the cafeteria are really really nice :) the food is a bit expensive though and the hours are weird but thats ok.

I have rejoined with the Cambridge YMCA and I have very quickly remembered why I left before. Sadly there is no real family gym around the region but Im at the point of driving to a drifferent YMCA. Cambridge has such rude staff and how can children learn to swim when instructors are never the same. I never had this problem when I belonged to other YMCAs, just seems to be this location. (Not all staff either but a lot of them)

Very disorganized and dirty. We went for family badminton. There was NO staff watching over the games. There were toddlers rumming into our court. There were people kicking a basketball. There were people not moving off of their court to share. Equipment was damaged and shuttlecocks too. We asked where the table tennis was. Staff brought a table out and a group of kids stole it before we had a chance to start. It's a great facility but staff needs to take the reigns and make this great again. Staff came to take down badminton 32 minutes early. Run it like Waterloo guys. Organized. And no horseplay.

A great resource for our whole family. Clean and friendly. The swimming lessons are the best in the city, open gym for kids on Saturday mornings makes it easy for parents to work out, love the track on the mezzanine over the gym. Low income families can apply for a subsidized membership to access these great programs and resources too.
