The Midland YMCA is located in an older space challenged facility. That being said the management and staff work hard at providing friendly efficient service to a broad spectrum of members. Located by the beautiful Little Lake Park setting, this facility serves the full time and seasonal population of this area of Simcoe County. Limited amounts of exercise equipment is available and you may have to wait to use it. Programs including yoga gravity, aquafit, swimming, squash , power fitness etc. are scheduled regularly throughout the week. There is an indoor track and activities available for babies to seniors; all administered by attentive and caring staff. Change facilities need upgrading and the mens spa needs some serious improvements. Parking is ample and free. Membership fees are reasonably low.

I like it here and am relatively satisfied with the facility overall. The building, even the reconstruction is beginning to show it's age but overall is pretty decent. The atmosphere is pretty low key and easy to be in and sometimes gets really busy but the chaos doesn't usually last very long. Friday nights I usually avoid because of too many kids coming for Youth Night (instead of hanging out on the streets or gaming at home alone). Classes provided are fun to do and can be added to your personal challenge bucket list and most of them are included with your membership. LOVE the hottub IN the PlusChangeroom as that is great to decompress after workingout in a more private and segregated space rather than in a common area.

A great place to go and get some exercise. You can go for a swim or join a class to workout. I don't like how they have made the changing facilities.

Brought my 2 young kids there for the "family day activities" that was supposed to be staff led games between 11am and 3pm. The staff never led any games and they packed up all the activities at 1:30 eveb though there was a bunch of young kids still playing. Teens playing basketball almost hit my 2 year old several times. We left in a hurry. Staff seemed dismissive and rude. Will not be going back.
