So today I went to Urban Planet in Renfrew Ontario. A store close to where I had went to school growing up. I noticed one of the girls from high school and generally being a nice person I said hey and she didn't respond, later I ask her if she had any other sizes in a pair of jeans I liked and I had to chase her down in the store , considering their were only two workers their at the time .. after this I use the change room where I could hear them gossiping about me when I'd come out to look in the mirror to see what I looked like. I blew off as I couldn't be sure they we're talking about me. When I stepped out of the change room they slammed the door immediately behind me as if they were waiting for me to leave the store but the store was still open for another 15 minutes , they began to rush me and my brother who has a disability from being a serious work accident a couple years back. Well now I was starting to get frustrated, so my brother bought his things n then I hurried to buy mine as well as I could see the service was becoming impatient. When I set my things down she started taking off the beeper things and throwing them obnoxiously in the box beside her my brother kept looking at me wondering why we were both getting such terrible service so I asked her if she had a problem , she laughed n said no , no I don't have a problem in an extremely sarcastic voice , my anxiety built up and I wanted to get out of the store, I had to make her rescan my things because I wasn't sure I had enough and then from behind me her friend working had said to her "I think you handled that situation great girl" almost clarifying the earlier gossip.. she was playing with some metal piece on my jeans n when I asked her what she was doing she said nothing then laughed , she looked at her friend and told me to press the button on the side of the door on my way out , talking about the handy cap button, which I found insanely offensive considering my handicapped brother had already went to car at this point because he couldn't stand the service.I couldn't even remember her name so I had to look her up and Facebook and to no surprise she had blocked me so I finally found out her name and I still don't understand why she had a problem with me but ***** ****** gave me the worse service of my life. I was in such disbelief I didn't realize her damaging my jeans until about three minutes later when I got in the car and sat down n realized the rip right where she was fidgeting with a metal tag on my jeans. So I turned around and went to go back into the store but she locked the door behind her. This was bullying and I'm still shocked at how horrible she was to me for no reason, we had barley ever talked but I never thought she hated me so much. I hope that this is recognized and that the people who shop their speak out about anything like this , because they shouldn't get away with it , it's not high school no more.
