Great venue on UofA campus. Attend often for grand daughters dance competitions. Food court on main floor. Parkade parking close.

Please get some new seats, it’s like sitting on plywood. Good facility though.

Just returned from The Nutcracker Ballet, great seats and staff very friendly! However, no coat check is available, which is unfortunate in winter months when you have to deal with bulky jackets at your seat. This would be a great revenue maker for the student union, why isn't this offered? No announcement when the show is starting, the lights suddenly go out and curtain lifts immediately. There should be a bell or dimming of lights like tradition. Also, they allow people to walk in 10 minutes into the performance, which is more than annoying.

The theater itself is tucked away in a strange location, and the decor says "I'm in a seventies film", more so than "fine theater". The drinks from concession see served in cheap plastic cups, and they do not offer any kind of debit services. My husband and I were here for a production of the Nutcracker ballet, performed by the Moscow ballet(who performed divinely I must say), however it was the first time I have ever attended a theater performance, where the staff allowed people to enter once the performance had already begun. Not once, not twice, but three separate times, the ushers opened the exterior doors to allow latecomers to find their seats. We missed the majority of the first half hour of the show, due to people shuffling around with flashlights, finding their seats. Not to mention that the doors continually opening, essentially blinded the entire back left corner of the room. As everyone had acclimated to the darkness for the performance. It was extremely unprofessional, and I will not be attending any theater performances here in the future.
