Nostalgia overload. I absolutely loved going to this theatre. It's not the best screen, but they have a lot of the indie films that don't come to the mainstream cinemas. The popcorn is also much better than from the big theaters.

A sheer nostalgic place for old movie buffs. If you were young in “ Ten Commandment” era, you will not only like the theater, but also value its own aesthetics, antique and heritage value. Sure you will also love “this type”to be here for eternity. I have seen couple of movies, last one being “BAHUBALI” and enjoyed a lot. And rightly as some other reviewer tells, I would have enjoyed more if I were young and had a girlfriend too🤭😜

The Princess Theatre, on Whyte, is in a nice location. We sat in the upper balcony; okay movie screen, clear and reasonably bright for an old venue. My personal downer was with the slacker staff and the strange games with popcorn refills they play - despite encouraging comments it turns out only the large gets a refill, and in a combo purchase the medium gets a refill too. Manager was indifferent, at best, when discussing popcorn follies. Too many nearby options to suffer mediocrity. Ok?

I love this theatre and the staff. They are great, and the movies are awesome if you like art and not just commercial movies.
