Really cool. Didn't get a chance to go up the gondolas but it seems amazing! Also you can easily walk to the hot spring on the mountain.

Trail distance: 5.5 km Time to hike: 1.5 - 2 hrs Height: 670 m A wonderful and beautiful hike for intermediate hikers. It's a switchback trail with approximately 670m of elevation from the Banff valley. In the winter, the path is gently trodden and I recommend packing lightly with trekking poles as the edge of the path is precariously close to a dramatic slope. The view of the adjoining mountains and city below are breathtaking. Once at the top, you can take the gondola down for free - instead of paying $50+ CAD (round trip) or $31 (one-way) - between October 9 and May 19. If you'd like to hike down but take the gondola up you are required to purchase a full price ticket. Highly recommend this hike.

The hike up the switchbacks is quite steep but worth the great views of Banff! Don’t be a baby and take the gondola, earn it! Also the gondola is free to come back after 7pm I believe.

This is truly a gem and must-do in Banff (and I’m surprise is not part of the top 10 attractions) For us - a family of 3 - the gondola, the amazing all-you-can-eat restaurant, the hikes, nature and astonishing views were the highlights of our trip to Banff, perhaps to the entire trip - EXCELLENT!
