Sound of Music is one of the best summer shows we've ever seen. There isn't a theater in any major city that can compete with the outdoor setting tucked in the trees, breathtaking mountain views in the background and as night falls the stars light the night sky. The actors were spot on with their voices and acting and the orchestra nailed it. Our seats and view of the stage was excellent even though we sat near the back. They do have a snack bar that is open during intermission and at the beginning of the show. Great job!

Great productions in a beautiful outdoor setting.

attended Bye Bye Birdie show at the fish hatchery on a Thursday evening. Great show and cast. Rent a $1 seat cushion your bottom will thank you. The worse part of the whole experience is the parking and getting to your car after the performance. No one directing traffic, no lights and plenty of dust. I hated that they have special parking for handicap as almost everyone using that area could clearly walk fine and after the performance these same people sped thru the parking area with no regard for those of us having to walk further to our car. Just a bad experience. If you can park close to the exit and be fast out of your seat you have a chance. We were walking with slow pokes so we got stuck in a big mess of traffic.

BUYER BEWARE: They care about profits, not their customers. Short Story: We were told to evacuate the area due to a forest fire bu they refuse to refund the tickets because they say they still performed the show. They just rudely told us they would not give us a refund and we could have ignored the order to evacuate (and our safety) and just found another place to stay. Longer Story: Our family traveled from Arlington, VA to go camping in Leavenworth, WA and attend a show at the Leavenworth Summer Theater. We were staying in a cabin at the Leavenworth KOA campground in Leavenworth. On Saturday afternoon, 8/27 a forest fire started just on the other side of the river from Leavenworth. The campground worked with emergency officials and told everyone to prepare in case we had to evacuate. After a couple hours, emergency officials alerted the campground that for safety concerns, the fie may shift and come across the river into Leavenworth so the area must be evacuated. We complied with the evacuation, packed up and left Leavenworth. A couple days later, after arriving back home in VA, we contacted the Leavenworth KOA campground about the refund since we had to evacuate and they processed it right away. Then we contacted the Leavenworth Summer Theater and they said "we could not have a refund because they still performed the show that Saturday evening". We explained that we were staying at the campground and they told us they were evacuating the area because of the danger of the forest fire. The woman just said, well we performed the show so you can not have a refund. So we asked her what were we supposed to do when emergency officials are telling us we had to evacuate the area because of the danger of the forest fire. She acted annoyed and said "well you could have stayed somewhere else, goodbye" and hung up. We understand they have a strict no refund policy but can not understand why when their customers are told they must evacuate the area by emergency personnel for their safety, the Leavenworth Summer Theater would not consider this an exception. It appears they care less about the safety of their customers than their profits. We would understand if we just could not make it or something, but the fact that we were forced to evacuate for safety concerns, they should process our refund and not be rude to us.
