Good place to enjoy McMenamins food and drinks while watching a movie. Been to all of the McMenamins theaters and I think this is the best one. The kitchen here make their food well which isn't always that common. Staff were friendly and the movie played without a hitch. Would come back if I was in the area.

Good service but space is small so nut room fir much movement. I got sick after eating here. Beers are the best as they have seasonal choices. I also like the location. Its hawthrone area and parking is pain. But the place is public transit friendly so worth going once in a while.

Shout hooray! Yeah, do it! Especially, when the listings for a visual event, like a football game, include the Backstage bar, because, it's fun. There's limited seating, but the screen size, is not limited. Plus, and this is another hurrah, great food and drink offerings for whatever your appetite is. The wait staff, is absolutely first rate and the service is fairly quick, so make sure you take advantage of this great resource, even if there's no game etc.

Fun place to visit for anyone visiting Portland for the first time, but I'm sure locals love it too! The theater is HUGE! I didn't expect it to be so big, but when I went on a Sunday afternoon there were a ton of open seats. Even on a not so busy day, I would recommend getting there early if you plan to buy any drinks, food, or snacks. The service was laughably slow, so the concessions line got real long, real fast. The staff was friendly, just not super efficient, but the fact that you can enjoy some excellent craft brews during the movie sold me on this place. If they are playing a movie you are interested in seeing, I would go! If you can, check out a matinee for only $8.50 a ticket for adults!

Loved!!! Food and drink prices were great and they tasted even better. Wasn't busy when we went for a Saturday matinee. Absolutely loved the old theater experience. 11/10 will go again.
