Friendly helpful staff, clean nice atmosphere great classes

Great modern centre in a beautiful location. Many performing and visual arts lessons that can be booked through Burnaby Recreation, but they do book up really quickly. The adjacent park is picture perfect. You get the lake view, flower gardens, huge grassy fields, picnic tables, small kids playground, geese, heritage homes and art installations, as well as all the surrounding flowers and trees.

Overall, it's a great space for persons to immerse themselves in the arts. Those who participate in classes often have the opportunity to showcase their work each term which then helps to build confidence and a sense of camaraderie among classmates. There's a cafe that sells delicious meals and the bathrooms are always clean. Staff are friendly and there's a wide range of performing arts classes for ALL ages. Lastly, the Shadbolt is situated beside Deer Lake. As a result, the surrounding space is gorgeous and constitutes a great place to get in touch with nature. On a few occasions, I've had issues with the box office and the registration office which can be very frustrating. Although they've always done their best to correct the situation, communication sometimes seems to be a weak point. Four stars.

This is one of the best places if you want a professional and friendly place to explore your passions. It never disappoints.
