It may seem sketchy at first, but it's really safe! Especially since it's easy to transit to and from (even late night usually with the 95!) Just like the Vogue Theatre, this place feels authenticate and more intimate, and I prefer it over big stadium shows. Staff at the bars and merch tables (although they're usually with the band playing at the time) are always super friendly too :)

Amazing sound to see a band. As a sound engineer I was surprised that I didn't need ear plugs to hear the band clearly. Even though the venue is a soft seater there was plenty of room at the front to dance and a great mosh pit. This was by far one of my favorite venues

I go to rickshaw for mostly, metal concerts, and I have a major issue with the sound. Promoters/event managers have to understand that backing lines (specially if its a symphonic/melodic band) cant be even heard anywhere in the theatre. I tried all spots. That is due to the fact that rickshaw has a humble sound system and acoustics when it comes to bands like these. I also dont have the best experiences with the staff there.

I love this venue. Good sized space, lots of seats, sloped floor makes for easier viewing, nice big stage, decent selection of beer, and they let you go outside between sets to smoke, or ditch merch in your car or whatever. I wish the sound were more consistent, but all in all, this is a great Metal/Punk venue.

A fun place with great gigs of diverse and quality music. Located in East Hastings and Gore and accessible to public transit. You can stand up or sit comfortably watching a concert. The atmosphere there is frirndly and there is a limited variety of drinks.
