Slow service with little urgency to take orders. I will go to Starbucks and pay $0.50 more for service and timeliness of orders. This location needs to understand how to staff, hire, and train correctly.

I have visited this location 3 times now. I must say considering they turned an iconic building into a coffee shop they should have more respect and keep it clean!! It's been quite dirty all 3 times I've been in. Every time I have gone (different times of day) there has been minimal staff and it's so busy. Customers are waiting over 10 minutes for a coffee and if you order food be prepared to wait a long time. It's very unfortunate that when you go inside the restaurant you feel as though you are in downtown Vancouver...homeless people are passed out at tables and there isnt a lot of seating to begin with and it makes me personally uncomfortable to take my kids there. The 2 stars are for the employees that work there. They have been pleasant each time I've visited.

This location has been disappointing on every visit. Staff never know what they are doing and take an extensive time to fill simple orders (iced coffee took 10mins in a QUIET period). Staff members need to be more competent of simple skills, this is the last time I’ll visit this location.

Really slow service, had to wait almost 20 minutes just to have our order taken, then another 5-10 minutes just to have 2 iced coffees and 2 slices of lemon loaf. On top of that initially we were charged for 2 slices but were only given one, had to go back to the counter to get the second slice that I already paid for. Additionally they were out of the sweetener for the coffees so the Ives coffees tasted quite bad. Quite a disappointing and poor experience. Hopefully they do better next time.

Superb location! I've been there 3 times. But on the downside, full with homeless people every time I went. So its difficult to get a place or you want to stay inside to have a meal. I rather grab something quick and enjoy the lovely parks around when its not raining. Otherwise, hard luck :P
