If you have the patience and the time to spend, this place is a book lover's sanctuary. I don't know the owner personally and I don't need to, he is doing his own thing and won't be there to hold your hand. This is most people's complaint about Better Buy Books, the owner is rude, not helpful, etc. But I actually enjoy being left to my own devices and spending hours getting lost and finding my way through the shelves. (He isn't rude at all and I have never had an issue with his personality). If you want someone to hold your hand and help you find every exact thing you're looking for, this isn't the place for you. Head to Chapters or another big chain bookstore.

I was here back in 2010 Its one of my fondest memories of mission the owner was doing his own thing, was left alone to browse and that's what I did. Book lovers dream this place is.

I love this place. I've noticed that a couple people have complained about the owner, but I've always found him to be very kind and helpful. It's really a beautiful bookstore and I highly recommend giving it a visit. I've been there many times since it opened, and never have I had a negative experience. Easily one of my favourite Mission stores.

Drove in from Chilliwack to check out shops in downtown Mission and found this book store. Bad idea. Worst attitude from a shop owner I have ever experienced bar none. Books lying around in stacks on the floor and piled on the counter. I asked if there was a restroom, and his response was "No bathroom..not even for me". I also asked about a specific book and his response was "I doubt it"..There were signs posted everywhere warning people "This isn't a library" Prices are high, a Dr. Suess reprint book for my grandaughter was $25.00! If this store and it's owner are any example of attracting customers to the downtown core of Mission, then no wonder nobody wants to waste their time.

Terrible place! Very RUDE owner who has no respect for his customers. I was very excited to go with my grandma, and it had a massive selection, but the owner is what will make me never come back. Firstly, I was after the old Hardy Boy books, I asked if he had any and he said maybe, and than proceeded by adding "They suck anyway." After I found some, there was no price, or sign containing one. Asking him what it cost, he said its written inside the book. Still not finding one I should him, and he accused me that my thumb wore off the pencil because all his books have prices. Secondly, finding some other books that again that had no price, I showed him, and he said that they are the price that it is bought new because they were published only 10 years ago. ((BTW the book was not. It was published in 1988.)) Lastly, upon leaving my grandma commented she would love to come back when she had more time to look around and told the owner he had a wonderful shop and have a good day. The owner replied, "Ya sure, whatever." Don't bother going here!
