Very disappointing. Untidy, weedy and very little to look at compared to other public gardens. They need to better maintain the beds and plant more varieties.

Very enjoyable afternoon - yummy and scenic!! Plan a visit to coincide with Christmas Light Show - spectacular!!! But, parking is very busy during the holiday season, with cars up and down both sides of Island Highway. Take care to remain safe and visible.

Over the years we have made an annual visit to the gardens with our boys for tea. The fellas are 18 and 14 now. Our 18 year olds returned for a visit and the first thing they wanted to do was take a trip to Milner Gardens. It is a memory that will stay with them. It's an easy walk or shuttle. It's quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The charm of the house, the ladies serving and the beauty of the garden leaves you feeling refreshed and blessed

The park itself is quite spectacular. Labelled foliage helps to identify what you are looking at and very accessible paths help for mobility concerns. We had soup and scones with friends as well as high tea (a bit expensive for the quantity of food) but a very pleasant experience overall. Choose one or the other if eating there. The price of admission does not include the meal so be ready to part with a bit of cash for the whole experience.

Well worth a visit. A delicious high tea at a much more reasonable price than the big hotel in Victoria. Excellent accessibility. Suitable for groups.
