Oh, how much fun this was. It was a little odd sorting out the way to go through the museum, but it was well signposted so it was simple enough to just pick a direction and go. Just stay in the path and you'll see all you could want - and probably more. Seeing the Royal Hudson up close truly does take your breath away. Waking through well maintained historical cars is like time travel. Some of the exhibits are dated - it's a museum, though - and some are awesome. The postal car was 4 fun. I wish the miniature train sets were in operation, but maintenance of such an intense set seems to be an issue. Overall, a great experience. The mini train ride is maybe a little pricey at $5 a heads, but it's fun and somewhat enjoyable

I visited West Coast Railway in May. Wasn't expecting much. Just entering to pay I saw the huge engine on display. Blew my mind. Even allowed to board and walk through it. Go out to the yard and numerous trains and cars to walk through. I had a blast. Only disappointment was I'd not given myself enough time to see everything. Great place for kids and adults. Staff was super friendly.

Great museum! All the trains are good condition. The main building is modern and clean. I highly recommend for families. Kids can enjoy the outdoors and a mini train ride. Definitely will return in the fall!

A wonderful gem off the beaten path in Squamish that is a must see. With everything from a miniature train ride to toy trains and a banquet hall to host events this is quite the place. Many moments in history are captured in a palpable way for people of all ages to appreciate. All staff were extremely friendly and exhibits very well assembled. We only had half a day with young kids, but we'll be back again for sure.

Children had fun learning about different kinds of trains, history of trains, and various ways to fuel them. Climbing aboard. Ringing bells, riding the miniature train. Pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it! Even if you are not a huge fan of trains this place is fascinating. Loved it!
