Vancouver new music puts on amazing concerts at the annex. Black box theatre with very raked seats. There are very few bad seats. And the overflow is above the stage. I have had many a transcend experience sitting in those seats.

A small, tucked away theatre that allows for an intimate viewing experience with like-minded folks. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and presentation here, especially considering how the seats run right up to the stage; and without the performing stage being raised, it creates a more immersive show, giving actors the ability to more easily interact with the audience. The area is clean, voices project, and the shows are interesting, wonderful theatre! I did not see a food or drink concession, but it wasn't a bother considering the innumerable options up and down the street. It's also wheelchair accessible, with a few spaces reserved.
