Hands down the best theatre in the city to watch independent and art films. Also great resource for the local indendent film scene. Go see movies here to support independent film making!

Cool local theatre that shows alternative films. I recommend visiting the Cinematheque for any film buff or person interested in smaller scale films that bring an interesting prospective to contemporary issues. Great prices too! Much cheaper than cineplex.

I'm happy that Winnipeg has a place that plays independent movies! I really enjoy coming here to see films I wouldn't have seen otherwise

Went to the first public screening of "The Urban Economy". While the movie was excellent, there was a technical issue that came up with the projector and the movie screening had to be delayed. On top of that, air circulation in the room was also not present and it made for a very hot screening once the technical problem was resolved. I recommended before each screening to check the operation of the projection and make sure the ambient air temperature is comfortable for Guests beforehand.
