The Coolidge Corner Theater is a legendary facility. It has a number of screens ranging from the grand theater from the Golden Age of films to intimate and casual screens with a dozen or two seats. While some mainstream films are presented, there are so many more from indie sources that would never be seen in the Boston area without the Coolidge. Even though some of the facility is well worn, it is imbued with a history that can't be acquired, but has to be lived, as the Coolidge and its patrons have done. Good discounts, online ticketing and a pretty good snack bar only adds to its charm.

So much fun! Eclectic. Tasty soda. Beer and wine. Awesome movie selections. If you're a film buff or a movie theater buff definitely join their members club.

You can' t go wrong seeing a film here. One of the few theaters I'll attend despite them not accepting my MoviePass. In particular, if you have the chance to see a 70mm presentation here... DO IT. The projectionist spoke for a few minutes to the audience I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey with, and it was wonderful. I also love being able to get a fully decent cup of coffee for two bucks before I sit down for a show. If I could give 4.8 stars I would, merely because they don't refill large popcorn containers... :/

You might see first run movies. You'll always see first rate movies. A classic old neighborhood theater, painted ceilings intact, that serves real butter on their popcorn. All viewing rooms feel intimate, even the largest; a place you can bring your out-of-town friends and family for a fun experience.

A neat art theater managed by a non-profit organization. Screenings of classics and fan favorites regularly. We saw Spirited Away in a packed house!
