The place is gorgeous. It's a little old and rustic but I would say that's part of the charm. They have a great organ player, as well. Saw 2001: A Space Odyssey in 70mm here. An amazing experience.

Best place for anyone hoping to catch a classic movie in a nostalgic atmosphere. Run and attended by true film lovers and the snacks are very inexpensive! I came in February for Casablanca and in August for 2001: A Space Odyssey. Both fantastic experiences!

Hands down my absolute favorite theatre in the city of Detroit. The Japanese style decor and the attention to detail make this historical treasure an absolute delight on the eyes! With a spacious mezzanine, the theatre holds approx. 1600 seats for live performances as well as classic movie viewings! The high ceilings display a breathtaking painting of the night sky and LED lights twinkle gently as far away stars all while you enjoy a beautiful visual and audio experience on their large grand stage. I recently caught a 3rd Annual Comedy Special there in March and I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of the performing arts to catch a show at this theatre. They play a movie every week and often have live events booked out throughout the year. There is always something cool to catch in this historical gem.

A classic cinema experience, and a nostalgic trip back to the theaters of the the 50s-80s. A movie host, an organist, and a family atmosphere. Older folks will feel right at home too. Check thier program, find a film and go see it just for the experience.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere! Really captures the essence of seeing a movie from years ago. It's a must see place for people who love the movie going experience!
