Just got back from a 2 night stay at Chaudiere Lodge. We cannot say enough good things about this place! The cabins have a rustic nostalgia, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and untouched, the food was amazing, the staff are absolutely incredible and although it poured rain for the majority of our time there, we had a blast. If you're looking for a place to go and reconnect with nature and the outdoors- this is your spot. We didn't catch any keepers but we will definitely be back!

Food was the greatest ever.

Musty smelling cabin/cottage Cottages look like they haven't been maintained well. Ladder leaning up against our cabin (cardinal East) They said it had to stay in front of our window because a bird made a nest on it. Decently clean inside Lodge and cabins. Food was delivered to cabin in boxes. Dining room was closed. Smelled like hospital food and was soggy. Don't look at the website menu the food is not like that and for lunch during covid it was going to just be a sandwich with cold cuts in a box. We only ate 1 dinner with dessert. Dessert was freezer burnt ice cream with half a dry cinnamon bun We were supposed to stay 3 nights We came in the afternoon and left early evening Drove 4.5hrs there and turned around and drove home. Staff was friendly. I would say if you are looking for a rustic getaway with not so great food with a few buddies this place would be okay. I took my wife and we were expecting rustic, clean and awesome food which is what was advertised on the website. Talked to another husband and wife who went there for their wedding anniversary and they felt the same as us. I think the location is beautiful and I think it was probably better run when the old owner Steve was in charge of it 2 years ago. I didn't realize it changed owners. Fishing lodge that is not prestigious and the money it cost I would say the food needed to be alot better and the cabins better maintained. John from Grimsby Ontario
