This cinema has been around for like forever. The restaurants around them in the plaza have changed some but the Cineplex is still the anchor tenant. My first time visiting this cinema was way back in 1999. I rarely come here now as I have a Cineplex very close to my house. But I wanted to try the VIP seats / experience which my neighbourhood Cineplex does not have. I really enjoyed the entire VIP experience from end to end. It was very comfy and cozy in a sense that reminds me of flying Business Class or Prestige Class on a train or Ship. The lounge chair can be completely reclined 180 degrees ( It can feel like a bed ) and there is a seat warmer as well. Like I said before, it resembles a Business Class seat period. The food was top shelf. My party ordered tacos, pepperoni pizza and chicken fingers with a Ginger Beer. I have to admit that I was surprised by the quality of the food. Maybe it was because I was not expecting too much? Anyways, I found the food to be fresh, delicious and flavourful. The staff were friendly and attentive. I give that whole team 5 STARS. My only con is that I wish there was a button or a more efficient method to summon someone when you wish to order food and drinks or to simply ask for your plate and utensils to be removed etc...you catch my drift right? The price that you spend matches the service and experience that you will receive IMHO. A++ experience for me all the way and I will definitely for some more VIP movie action later on.

Nice theatre, good chairs, and I really like the Coke freestyle drink machines. Popcorn is good. Candy selection is good. Games area is nice. Food selection is good. They've also added VIP and every seat is a recliner, which I love. Best way to see a movie!

Avoid this theatreā€¦ this location has gone downhill and it has a way of making you feel less like a VIP whenever you go. Customer service is so bad it makes you feel like you actually wasted your money, because what are we really paying extra money for if you donā€™t get a ā€œVIPā€ experience? This is the second time my family and I have gone this year (last was in March), and also the second negative experience in a row weā€™ve had with this theatre. Details: An employee denied us access to our seats because we did not have our IDs with us to prove we were 19+ (there were 3 of us returning from stepping outside and we left our wallets at our seats). Rather than being helpful by offering to have one of the other crew members (who were clearly available) walk us to our seats so we can show them our IDs, the employee refused to let us in and instead called her manager over to explain the policy one more time. Neither the employee or manager demonstrated any level of quality customer service. The manager just walked away after being passive aggressive, even though Iā€™m pretty sure at this point it was clear they were literally the only reasons why I couldnā€™t get my ID? We ended up calling and asking our other family member, who was still inside, to leave their comfortable seat (seemingly the ONLY benefit you get with your ā€œVIPā€ ticket) who bring our wallets just to prove that weā€™re all almost 30. Before this employee, we saw 2 others who checked my familyā€™s tickets before entry and neither asked for our IDs, nor were we informed we needed to show them when returning to our seats. Itā€™s also ridiculous that you need to show your ID every time you leave and go back to your movie. Maybe start putting stamps or wristbands on guests so if a new host comes on who doesnā€™t recognize us, then at least weā€™re identifiable. 2 stars: When we last visited in March, the food we ordered didnā€™t arrive during the movie. We were not offered a refund because the concession stands were closed, but instead received vouchers for 2 tickets and popcorn.

We had a great experience. Comfortable seats. This area needs more staff. The ones there were working fast but seemed overwhelmed and were forgetting things ordered. Popcorn served with VIP seemed much smaller than with regular tickets. It was delicious. Chicken finger portion was small and they arrived cold. I will be back but will not be ordering hot food; just popcorn and candy.

We went to VIP theatre. Surprisingly the big reclining chair was very comfortable. The reclining chair has buttons to set the heat or cool, set the foot rest, head rest, and also it has sliding table. The distance with the front row seats and back row seats was really wide. The service from the runners was extremely professional and fast and friendly. We were very satisfied with the service and also the movies. The sound systems is superb. The theatre itself was clean. We really enjoyed watching movie that night. We recommend this VIP theatre. We had been in the similar VIP theatre in Ottawa. But this VIP Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill is way much better in all aspects than the one in Ottawa.
