I have almost no use for these brick and mortar electronics stores. Everything in this place is over-priced. Who buys $60 computer mice? A few years back I went looking for home theatre speakers. The audio room was a disaster area (I don't blame the sales guy for that). There was no way to audition speakers in that room. They had no proper audio setup to A-B anything. A complete Mickey Mouse arrangement. The last item I bought there was a 6TB external hard drive. Before that, a 60" TV a few years before that. Not likely to ever buy much of anything there ever again.

Recently I had purchased a TV from Best Buys open box sale. Subsequently it failed and when Sony’s customer service refuses to help me I took a trip to my local store. Levi, in the home electronics department has helped me previously and this time, he went above and beyond to help me replace a TV that they weren’t responsible for whatsoever. A+ service from Levi and the staff there and I highly recommend speaking with him about any TV concerns you have. He knows his stuff, front to back and likely won’t hesitate to help you out like he did with me.

I had a great experience, the staff members setup my laptop very fast and installed everything I needed! Very friendly and very thorough. Seeing as I need this for college they answered all my questions and helped me find the perfect laptop for school!

Not a great experience. As a former Best Buy employee, I'm familiar with their customer service model and sales tactics. After researching a suitable laptop for my wife to use for schoolwork, we went into the store to get a hands on feel. While looking at the laptop in question (a $279, 14" HP Stream), we were approached by a salesperson who informed us (prior to even introducing himself) to stay away from that laptop, as an $80 android box could do the same thing. It's interesting, because I wasn't aware an $80 Android box was a transportable, note-taking, word-processing, email-sending machine. Without any knowledge of what we planned to do with this laptop, we were told not to buy it in favour of something that would not meet our needs. Poor customer service, coachable moment for the staff to get back to basics, and inquire about the needs of the customer as opposed to ignorantly inputting a personal bias. We ended up buying on Amazon.ca instead, as it was cheaper, and offered a more affordable and comprehensive service plan. RIP big-box stores.
