Saw Dear Evan Hansen this past Saturday as our first visit to Royal Alexandra and wow! For the theatre itself, it is stunningly beautiful with very comfortable seating. This theatre opened in 1907 and is the oldest operating theatre in North America - man the history that must be in those walls. The view of the stage, even from the top deck (front row) was fantastic and as were the acoustics. There are concessions and washrooms on every level which is nice. For the play itself, I'm a grown man not easily brought to tears and this play brought tears to my eyes. And when there weren't tears I think I had an ear to ear smile the entire time. The voices of the actors are incredible. The story, while heavy, is absolutely amazing and thought provoking. I can safely recommend both this theatre and this play. Both were unbelievable!

I love this old theatre! We had seats in the top balcony, the seats were pretty good, even though we were up very high. Seats are high back and comfortable. Ladies beware, lineups for the washroom address long. Water fountains are available if you don't want to pay the high prices of the beverages. Productions are always high quality, will definitely be back!

I saw Dear Evan Hansen as part of a school music trip and it was an unforgettable experience. We got a tour of the theater beforehand, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient. The show was absolutely fantastic. I loved everything about this trip. I highly recommend seeing a show here. Amazing.

Had a lovely time. Quaint historic atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Seats are not huge but they are adequate and bigger than those at some newer venues I've been to! Excellent production add usual.

Gorgeous historic facility in the heart of downtown Toronto! Always love visiting this place and especially love seeing the beautiful architecture and design! From their old “AC” system (ice grates in the floor), to their hat hooks on some of the chairs! It’s such a gem!
