This is an absolutely wonderful arts museum. It is actually great for people of all ages. There is so much to learn here and I would recommend it to any one that has even a little bit of an interest in art. You are not allowed to carry backpacks (on your backs), so just be sure to pack accordingly. I would also recommend calling ahead to check for the times they close on the day you plan to go, as the times on the website do not always line up accurately.

An absolute treasure trove for art. Rubens, Rembrandt but also gorgeous paintings from American artists. Porcelains and other curiosities complete an impressive collection that can compete with most European counterparts. Very interesting descriptions and explanations next to most works too. I spent more than three hours in there. It made my Sunday. Please make sure you don’t miss the Detroit Industry Murals by Rivera. They are breathtaking.

This is a beautiful place in a very safe area of Detroit. The parking here is very reasonably priced and there is security there 24 hours a day to keep track of your vehicle. There is extensive amounts of artwork hear ranging from sculptures to watercolor paintings. Some very well-known artists are featured. There's also a dining area if you wish to take a break during your visit. This is definitely a place that you could spend an entire day at and not have to see anything twice. I highly recommend this for a affordable and fun day.

I absolutely love coming to this place. See did in the heart of Detroit and hosting an abundance of Fine Art, this place is a must for anyone passing through as well as any locals. The price to get in is extremely reasonable and it also hosts extra exhibits that come and go. It also has an eatery that is very nice. I also like the fact that there are plenty of places to visit that are within walking distance so that you can make a day of coming here. Great job

It's the DIA! World class. One of the top destinations in Detroit. Unfortunately a bit pricey driving from mid-Michigan with a bunch of kids, but well worth it on occasion. Have brought students here on a number of occasions tied to rotating exhibits. Film series are professional, insightful and well thought out. Beautiful building. Kresge Court is a lovely place to sit and snack.
