My group and I sat outside and ate for a while and the food is delicious! The seating is spacious and placed on an inner and outer curb basis! Inside the table setting for the event was beautiful! Bert's is a very popular place and well attended!

I was in town for a few days and decided to walk around the markets. So glad I found this place. Great live music and amazing food. Made friends with some older locals while I was chilling out the front with a beer. There are some characters walking around the area but they don't bother anyone. If I come back to Detroit I'm definitely going to make another stop here.

I love the neighborhood feel and the excitement of the history of this establishment. Especially on Saturdays during the summer. A great place to sit along the street and just watch everyone having a great meal and time listening to the live music or DJ.

Bert's is larger bar that feels more like a neighborhood Hole in the Wall. Despite it's size it still manages to offer a cozy almost intimate atmosphere. If I have one complaint it's that the service is inconsistent. At times friendly down home welcoming. Other times slow, disinterested, nevermind I'm not staying.

The service is awful! The wait staff look at us numerous times didn't not acknowledge us!! Very unprofessional. I had to get up and find help after waiting 20-25 mins. Once I placed my order never got water. The ribs came under cooked and cold and were replaced with 2 extremely small ones. Once we complained to owner about the meal he still made us paid for the sides. He is incredibly insensitive and money hungry. Worst experience ever! Will NOT BE BACK!
