Mainly buy drinks from the bar here during concerts, but last time in my wife and I wanted dinner before the show. The bar was relatively quiet for a show night, but then again arriving before 7 we knew this. Anyways, you would think we would get better service or simply any service since they were not slammed, but our sever Sarah J was beyond horrible. Before reviewing, we have never seen nor had her before. I dont like dropping names, but not all the staff nor experiences here is like what we had that evening. Our server took 15 minutes to come back for a drink order after initially sitting down. She then never gave my wife a can of red bull, which we paid full price for, and never asked us how our food was, or if we wanted a "second" round of drinks. After we asked for waters, she came back empty, only to drop off our check?? I dont even think we saw her more than 3 times, and like I said the place was very chill. I can understand if patrons are being drunk and disrespectful or a holes why patrons would receive dirt poor service...however my wife and I were neither!! Coming from work, looking for a nice night out away from our kids we were completely chill, and not needy patrons to a go step further. Like I said, have never had issues here, but after this instance I dont forsee us spending any more money when there are plenty of other establishments and great servers nearby!

Nice but a bit expensive place but ya also have to consider the area and the Waitress needs to come back to the Table more often I was here with Friends before going to a Comedy Show at the Theater it wasn't packed until we were leaving but we had to wave the waitress over a couple times and we told her Seperate Bill$ but she still messed it up 😨🤦🤷

1st and last time I will go here. Food was ice cold when it was finally brought to our table because it sat in the window for 15 minutes while our server tended to the other tables as she stated with an attitude. Worst service I have experienced in a long time, asked several times for A-1, no one could come back and let us know that they were out of A-1, they just disappeared once we asked. I guess if you just want food and don't drink alcohol you don't matter at State Bar.

Fast service, even when super packed. Hilarious servers. Creep factor pretty low w/ clientele. Perfect place to grab a few drinks and food before concerts and games downtown!!
