Mum and I were looking at purchasing a new computer. We're not super tech savvy so we needed help. The young man that helped us was fantastic. He took the time to explain everything to us and answered all of our questions. Super satisfied with his customer service! I only wish I had gotten his name so I could give him some real credit where it's due.

As like every time a go to Best buy(doesn't matter which one), I had to wait around the area I wanted to make a purchase from. Didn't need advice or help just wanted to buy the laptop and eventually had to go to the cashier to page someone to come to me. Was offered a $100 credit on an out of box item to then have the manager say no only $50. Poor salesperson stuck in the middle as I asked to talk to the manager. Instead of facing me she sent the salesperson back to say that they would honour what they already offered. If it wasn't for the extra money off I would have gone elsewhere. When we left there were 4 salespeople in the laptop section... Go figure!

Best service at the Oshawa Best Buy. Every single staff member I’ve ever spoken to is more then helpful and always go above and beyond. I’m shocked at the level of service they offer. Why can’t other retailers train their staff like Best Buy.

Other than one or two people who know what they are doing, this Best buy location will frustrate you beyond your wildest imagination. Product knowledge is sketchy at best. Several times I have tried to buy something only to be told it wasn't available (primarily audio products) even though their website says it's in stock. Good luck trying to buy any video games. 90% of the games on the shelf are just empty cases. And when you take one of the cases to cash out, it takes what seems likke forever to go and find the actual game only to be told most of the time its out of stock. Oh and if you do buy something and have to return it, have fun arguing with them to get your money back! Price matching anything is a chore. Such a hassle just to get an item matched from a competitor.

Non-commissioned sales staff can be risky as there's not a ton of incentive to really help customers with product selection. That said, this is one of the stores that seems to be really well run! the team was incredibly helpful and made my laptop purchase a breeze...will definitely go back for the rest of the electronics setup!
