Went whale watching. It was nice I just think they need to work on the speaker system. Maybe more little ones all over vs couple large ones. Especially in the back of the boat near the motor. I also recommend gloves and wind breakers its get cold and windy on the water.

Very good experience.. Boat left on time, as we paid the additional 29 dollars per person for vip we got to load early, and enjoy the whole trip from inside a cabin, with giant glass windows. Amazing as the wind was very cold even though we went on July 31. The boat got to a whale sighting ground and we saw at least 30 whales and seals.. Was non-stop excitement for about 30 mins, some other boats came into our area.. And the sightings got less.. A very memorable trip, well worth the price and time!

Very bad experience, it is not worth it with the money we paid for and the time we spent (headed from Quebec City- 2.5 hours drive until we reached rivière du- loup) . This is an ordinary boat trip and has nothing to do with whale observation. They distribute false brochures to market the trip. In fact, by looking at pictures, we expected to see whales and seals up close and a spectacular scenery but we literary saw nothing. They announced at the begging of the trip that they will stay half an hour in the observation area but they stayed only for 20 minutes and then we went back. It could be a matter of luck that we did not see the whales or seals but what I am trying to say is that they should have mentioned it clearly in advance and not deceive people with misleading information and pictures. Keep in mind that we contacted them by phone before we booked and they assured us that we are in the right season and we are going to see a group of seals and whales. They should not be that confident!

The 7-day Tour East Bus trip that I’m traveling on stopped here; we have 50 tourists in our group. The $222.50 attractions package includes access to the Whale Watching Boat Tour, Thousand Island Boat Tour, Hopewell Rocks, Maritime Museum, etc., of which this attraction is one of the experiences. Our AML ship was a three decker design that made the 3.5 hour round trip enjoyable (although the constant loud rumble of the diesel-powered engine can drive one crazy). Maximum ship capacity is 250 persons. We're on the lookout for whales; Blue, Fin, Minke, and/or Beluga! Thick fog blanketed the trip out to the St. Lawrence River feeding area where salt and fresh water converge. TIP: BYOF (bring your own food) or prepare to held for a Pirates ransom! Soupe asiatique/Asian Soup aka instant noodles w/boiling water is $4.00 or get the deal of the day which is a Hot Dog Garni for $3.50. This is my third time on this ship and I still haven’t seen Free Willy!

Second time and although my first time was incredible, the second time only had a few minky whales and about 10 belugas. But that is whale watching, sometimes it's amazing. Sometimes it's mediocre. And sometimes it's not. But for the South shore, it is the best place to go!
